Founded in 1986 with the former Standard Products Company and Nishikawa Rubber Company (NRC); technology exchange agreements have existed between the two companies since 1970.
Full-Service Supplier of Automotive OEM Dynamic Sealing Systems owned jointly by Nishikawa Rubber Company (60%) and Cooper Standard Automotive (40%).
Nishikawa Rubber Company (NRC), is the only independent (non-keiretsu) dynamic sealing supplier with a customer base that includes all of the Japanese automotive companies, GM, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. NRC is headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan.
Cooper Standard Automotive (CSA) is among the world’s largest automotive OEM suppliers of sealing and fluid. CSA is headquartered in Novi, Michigan.
All four of our North America locations are certified IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015

Our Topeka, Indiana plant is our first plant and opened in 1986. This location is nestled in a rural and peaceful community in Lagrange County and employs approximately 500 associates. Salaried associates, engineers and Japanese advisors also reside at this plant. Topeka serves as Nisco’s corporate office.
Bremen, IN

This plant is located in Bremen, Indiana, about 30 minutes south of South Bend, Indiana. Bremen’s population is approximately 4500. Surrounded by rich black soil, Bremen found its niche as a producer of mint in the mid 1900’s. The Bremen plant employs approximately 375 associates.

Livonia, MI

Livonia is a part of Metro Detroit and is located about 2 miles west of the city limits of Detroit. The sales and engineering teams reside in this office. With a population a little below 100,000, this city also boasts the Livonia City Soccer Club, one of the largest soccer programs in the state, with 1,300 participants.

Our Fort Wayne Plant 2 is located a few blocks away from Plant 1 making the commute to both plants very easy! This plant was established in 2022 for growth. Fort Wayne is known for its quality of life and is one of the best cities for minor league sports.
